Typically (at least where I work) we refer to Wednesdays as "hump day". But when there is only a four day work week, is Wednesday still a hump day? Let me know what you think.
Enough about that. Today was actually rather grueling for me. I spent the better part of the morning catching up on paperwork. Then after lunch I had to go with my boss to the office of some lady who "could tell us something about computers". I found the whole exercise rather a waste of time. See, my boss got a $3,000 grant for a new computer, and she has to decide what "specifications" she wants. Then when she decides, we have to put out bids. Seems to me the purpose of bids is see who will give you the lowest price for the same or similar item. With grant money, you just spend what you are given. Of course you do have to spend it on what it was intended for, in this case a computer. I mean we couldn't go out and spend it on a refrigerator and washer/dryer, etc. Wait a minute! Wait a minute! I forgot what state I am living in. In the state of Louisiana, it is perfectly acceptable to be dishonest. In fact, we even elect crooks as mayors, city councilmen, governors, etc. Or maybe we elect mayors, city councilmen, governors and then they turn into crooks. I don't know which way it really is. But I digress; when I got back to work, I had a lady waiting on me to start her orientation training, which I did until time to go home. I do have to admit that my day did pass rather swiftly, and for that I am thankful. Hope everyone has a great day!
