Limbo

Didn’t do much this weekend. Saturday I went to the theater as they were having a workday to clean up the place. I was helping out in the scene shop. It was hot! I am getting out of shape. I figured this out when I got up on Sunday and discovered various aches and pains from the physical work I did on Saturday. Steve offered to go and get some pain patches, which I rejected. Too bad for me. Sunday we went out to eat at Nicky’s, a Mexican restaurant. It was good. Then my air conditioner stopped cooling. Boy did it get hot in here! I am calling the AC people first thing this morning. Thankfully, I have a contract with the folks, and it won’t cost anything to fix it. Just hope they can get out here pretty soon.

Still don’t know anything about work. In fact, I don’t even know why I am going to go in today. There really isn’t anything to do. Can’t continue the shredding or throwing away until the Board of Directors decides if they are going to grab for the “lifeline” I spoke about in my last post. The next time the Board can meet is Thursday. What a mess this has turned out to be. Truth is, I dislike being in limbo. I decided to look up limbo and get a definition, and this is what I found: In colloquial speech, "limbo" is any status where a person or project is held up, and nothing can be done until another action happens. Yep, that describes it alright. I also found out that the original meaning of the word comes from Roman Catholicism, and means "the edge of hell". Interesting.

Hope everyone has a good week.

Well, Limbo is also a game. So you can think of yourslef bending over backwards for a company that may or may not keep a float - however - the object is to keep on your feet and stay in control. There's the challange. I hope Friday is full of good news for you! Caren
