What's Next?

As of today, my work situation is still weird. Youth House got help from the Lone Wa Baptist church. So we are still open for business. However, we still have very few girls and unless that changes, I don’t see how Mr. Smith (the new executive director) and his crew are going to make a go of it. That being said, I am still happy to be employed, but I haven’t stopped looking for other work, just in case. I never heard anything back from my interview with CenturyTel, so I am applying for another position in the company. I have also applied for a position at “Accent Marketing”, which is a call center for a number of companies. That company won’t be open for business until September 23rd, but they did tell me that I am on the list (whatever that means). I guess that is a way of saying “you might have a job”. I am also going to take the civil service test, to get a job with the state of Louisiana, but the next test date is September 4th. Of course, if working for the state of Louisiana is anything like living in the state of Louisiana, maybe I should forget it! (Just kidding) The local Waffle House is always looking for people, guess I could try there (that’s a joke people). I am not trying to sound hopeless or bitter, because I am not. I would just like some closure to this situation. In the mean time, I keep praying that God will open a door and that I will be astute enough to see it. Thank you for all of your prayers that have gone up in my behalf. Hope everyone has a GREAT day!

Cathy,
You have probably noticed the verse on my blog Ephesians 3:20 "To Him who is able to do immeasureably more than all we ask or think". I am praying that God will bring that kind of job for you and that you will recognize His hand in it. Have a great weekend!
