Employment (again)!

I had said in my last post that I wasn’t going to mention my job situation anymore, so I apologize for posting this. Things have changed. I went to work on Tuesday and around 9:30 the new management let me go. It didn’t have anything to do with job performance, as a matter of fact, they expressed regret that it had to happen. But as previously mentioned, no girls means no money coming in, and they had to start somewhere.

On a brighter note, at least I am no longer in limbo. I know now what I need to do, except I really don’t have the option of being choosey when it comes to finding employment. CenturyTel is still an option, as they called yesterday. It was actually a friend from the theatre who works at CenturyTel. She said that she would do anything she can to help and is even forwarding my resume to her friends at Chase (bank). There is a position coming open that I am going to apply for, but not until September 12th. Several people at the theatre are encouraging me to apply for the general manager position. I will do that too. My good friend Steve has also found me a “possible” position working for a buddy of his at his auto glass shop. That would be fun, and he is willing to pay me a salary I can live with. So, all in all, I don’t feel bad or worried. I figure I can remain unemployed until the middle of October, and then things (money) will start getting tight. I remain optimistic, I just have the feeling that everything will work out. Hope everyone is doing well. Have a great day and a wonderful weekend!

Sorry Cathy! I know you were hoping things would work out and you gave so much of your life to that place. In the long run I hope that you will see this as a blessing. Since they let you go can you not get unemployment?? That would help with finances so you don't have to settle for the first job that comes along but get the job that will compensate you well for the talents and service you will bring to the table. Don't sell yourself short. I will be praying that just the right thing comes along. Was your lay off immediate? Hope you can have a good weekend.

Hey Cathy, sorry to hear about your job, but sometimes it's exciting to get to do something different.....speaking of that....why don't you throw caution to the wind and come to Hawaii with Lynn and I? We are leaving Oct. 6th and coming back Oct 13. Lynn is flying into Denver or the 4th..just a thought. You know we would have fantastic time. Call me if you think you might want to do it.
