WORK
I finally got a job! I have been hired at the Strauss Theatre Center. Can you believe it? I guess the 16 years or so that I have spent volunteering have paid off. As of now, it is part time, 30 hours per week. But I can live with that. It is going to be great, working at a job that I love! I will not be making the money I made at Youth House, but the fun factor will make up for that. The new general manager told me that as soon as he can, he will make me full-time. I really don't have a position title yet. My responsibilites will be night house manager (during performances), volunteer recruiter and coordinator, and various other tasks. Thanks for all the prayers that went up in my behalf. This to me is the perfect job. I understand that being on staff is going to be quite different than being a volunteer, but I should be able to make the transition. Well, after a month of doing nothing, I am off to work! Everybody have a great day.
