Contrary to the title of my blog, this post is not about the Battle of Wounded Knee in South Dakota in 1890. Instead it is about my own wounded knee situation. I was prompted by my boss to go have my knee looked at, since I am still limping around. So I went to the doctor yesterday. I do not like going to doctors, hence the wait of 6 days. Well, Doc manuvered my leg around and took 3 x-rays. NO broken bones! NO hairline fractures! NO torn ligaments! Just a very bad bobo. He said that it will probably take a couple of weeks to heal. I am getting around better, and it doesn't hurt as much, but it is still gimpy. I have been staying off of it as much as possible, keep it elevated as often as I can, and take ibuprofen for the swelling. Doc did say I busted a blood vessel cause I am black and blue halfway down to my ankle. Well, it's not black and blue anymore, it's kinda yellow. Oh, and I can't leave Steve out. He has been after me to see a doc since the day it happened. He even gave me a couple of pills to help ease the pain. I knew Steve was right, that I should go have my knee checked out. But it was about insurance, or the lack thereof. He suggested since it happened at work, perhaps Worker's Comp could be used. I asked my boss about Worker's comp and he got it all set up for me. I am grateful for good friends.
On a new topic. Hope everyone has a happy turkey day. Steve and I are going over to Jeanine and Jeff's to celebrate. I'll take my camera and take plenty of pictures. Matt has to work, so he won't be able to make it. I'll take him a plate.

Glad you got your knee checked out and it isn't anything serious. Too bad your new job did not come with insurance. That stinks. But glad Steve thought of the workmans comp. Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving. Wish you could have spent it with mother and daddy since they will be by themselves.
So sorry about your knee, BUT,
glad that noting is broken. It
sounds like you are having quite
a time with it and in alot of
pain. I pray that it heals
SOON. Hope you enjoyed Thanksgiving Day with your family.
