Five Usless Things

My truck is a mess. I haven't had it washed in about 6 months. The inside is dirty too. I normally take care of my vehicle. But in the past months, it has been low on my agenda of things I need to do. That being said, as I was driving to work this morning, I must have felt a pang of guilt. I actually opened the console and looked around inside. I noticed things that I needed to throw out. Five useless things that have been hanging around simply because I have not taken the time to get rid of them.
1. A car charger for a phone I no longer own. I haven't had this particular phone for 2 years or more. Why would I still keep the charger?
2. Two mechanical pencils that don't have any lead in them. I know I can go buy refills, but I haven't. Those pencils have probably been in my console for 2 or more years. I used to use them when I was teaching computer basics to the girls at Youth House. They are kinda pretty though, all sparkly. Maybe that's why I kept them.
3. Two Cobra walkie talkies. I purchased four of them a couple of years ago. Needed them to work a show at Strauss. I only have two of them now, and I don't have the charger. The charger didn't make the move when I moved into my mobile home. I have been there a little over a year.
4. Two fliers from a company called Aspen Alert Centre. They will be glad to install a security system in your home for absolutely no money. All you have to pay is 34.95 a month for 36 months. Call them at 343-5053 if you are interested!
5. Last, but certainly not least, a tube of lipstick. First I need to say that I can't even remember the last time I wore lipstick. I can't stand the stuff. Secondly I have to say that I don't even remember buying lipstick. So this tube of lipstick is mysterious to me. Perhaps someone other than myself left it in my vehicle. Let me open it up and see what color it is. Just a sec....it's kinda pink and is called Satin Shimmer.

Well there you have it. Five useless things. You will be happy to know that all items are now deposited in file 13. I bet if I look under the seats in my truck, I will find more useless items, but I will spare you the details. What's in your wallet, oops, I mean vehicle?

So, you finally found my tube to lipstick. I tore my car apart looking for it. Oh well, I bought another color anyway. The Satin Shimmer didn't go with anything I wear during the summer.
