Tagged

I got this from my sister's blog, about being tagged. Apparently you are to post some things about yourself that are not known to others. I really don't know why I am doing this, since the only folks who read my blog is my family, but maybe there are a few facts you don't know about me.

1. I studied martial arts for 5 years and have a brown belt (2 stripes). When I went for my black belt test, I was the only one who showed up, so my sensei cancelled the test, and I never went back (boy did I show him!). I studied Isshin-ryu, which is an Okinawan form.

2. Selling “buckets of blood” was one of the wierdest things I have had to do for an employer. I worked at Peyton Packing Co. in El Paso my first summer after graduation

3. I am a certified instructor in non-violent crisis intervention. This is always fun to teach, but it is a loooooong class. 8 hours minimum.

4. I have built at least 3 computers from scratch (if you can call it that). All three are still functioning. Jeanine and Jeff have one, Steve has one, and of course, I have the last one. Besides that, I have upgraded and fixed numerous computers for friends.

5. Even though I prefer backstage work at the theater, I have actually been in 3 plays. Bit parts that weren’t integral to the plot, and didn’t have a lot of lines to learn, but it was fun.  Let's see, what were they?  Nunsense, Lost in Yonkers, and Will Rogers Follies.

6. I invented the internet! Oops, not true, I think it was a guy named Al Gore. Ha!

7. I used to work at Rockwell International in El Paso (I don’t think they are there anymore).
Apparently I had a “talent” for that kind of work because the “big boss” called me to the office one day and offered to send me to electronics school. Unfortunately that never came to pass, because the family packed up bags and moved to Houston.

8. I believe I lived in a haunted house in El Paso. I don’t remember what street, it was on, but this was just before Jay (my ex)got orders for Germany. Anyway, weird stuff used to happen in that house. For instance, change would disappear from wherever it was laid. Jay and I used to accuse each other of taking the change. However, when we moved out of that house, we found the change in one of the bedroom closets on the shelf, way in the back. Other times, I thought I heard someone on the roof and I would go outside and look, but of course, no one was there. I once saw the doorknob turning, like someone was trying to get in, and when I opened the door, no one was there. I could go on, but I am sure you get the picture.

#10 is really creepy. The unexplained is hard to explain :)
#4 is why I think you should change professions.
You didn't give an update about your job. Hope all is well.

Memories are interesting. Thanks for picking up on the tag.
