Oil of Olay

Those who know me well, know that I do not like to wear make-up. I only put it on when I must. In my new job as House Manager for performances I will wear make-up. I usually carry it to the theatre and put it on at the last minute. I also have this habit of putting lotion on my face before putting on make-up because make-up makes my face feel really dry. Last Friday evening I rush to the bathroom, dig out my supplies and get down to business. First the lotion. When I put some lotion in my hand, I notice that it seems different. Must be really old, I think. I put it on. It seemed real greasy and was rather thick. On goes the make-up, and away I go. Saturday night, same procedure. I think: I need to some more lotion, this stuff isn’t real good. Move forward to yesterday. I am at home getting ready, and out comes the lotion. I put it on. Of course it looks and feels the same. Since I am not particularly in a hurry this day, I take a look at the bottle. Lo and behold, I had just slathered my face with BATH SOAP! YUK! How in the world did I make this mistake? Have I suffered any permanent damage by rubbing bath soap in my face and leaving it there for hours? If I had bath soap on my face, why didn’t my face lather up when I washed off the make-up? Why do the containers have to look so similar that one may make this mistake? And the biggest question, why did I have to go through this three times before I noticed? Anyway, once I discovered what I had done, I fell out laughing. It was too funny, to me at least. I have posted some pictures so you can see the similarity in the containers, and maybe why I grabbed the wrong bottle.

That is really funny! FYI Olay has stuff that goes on before your makeup but it comes in jars, not lotion like you put on your hands.
