I really don't want to sound geeky, so I'll just say that the motherboard in my computer appears to be the culprit. I don't have many choices at this point. Fixing what I have is virtually impossible. But that's OK. I have been wanting to build a new system for a couple of months, and it looks like that is the direction I will be taking. However, instead of getting everything new, I will use parts that I already have. So basically I'm looking at a motherboard, processor, ram, power supply and case. I can use my current hard drives, video cards, sound card, dvd drive, and cd-rw drive. I really enjoy building my own system, so instead of being upset, I am excited. I will be extremely happy when I get this done because this compter I am using right now is so slow! For instance, I can go make a cup of instant coffee during the time it takes just to open my web browser, or clip my nails in the time it takes to load a web page. As I am typing this, I get about four letters typed before they actually show up on the screen. The faster I type, the worse it gets!
On another note, I usually have difficulty thinking about what I want to put on this blog. Mostly because I want to post something informative, funny, relavant, etc. I am going to attempt to post more often and just talk about my day, what I am feeling, what I am thinking about etc. It'll be something new for me that's for sure.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. Looks like it is going to rain most of the weekend.

The guys have heard me talk about my dreaded Comps so much that they KNOW what it is!!! So, let me introduce you. Comps is short for Comprehensive Exit Exam for my Masters. Instead of writing a fancy paper or defending a thesis, we take a four hour exam, with only four questions, and we have to get 3 of the 4 right. Which sounds easy, but the anxiety of it all and knowing you only have FOUR FRIGGIN QUESTIONS is enough to drive anyone insane. Did I mention that it takes 2 weeks to get the results AND if I don't pass, I don't walk?
Blogs are tricky. When you sit down most of the time you 'think' you know what you want to say but write something completely different. I like reading all of our blogs because they are all so different and I like having glimpses into everyones' lives. Except maybe Mark. I'm scared of Mark's life. (HAHAHA)
Either way, I enjoy your blog and I'm glad you'll be posting more!
More Cathy blogs...more Cathy blogs...more Cathy blogs...
I love 'em and can't live without 'em.
By the way, Stephanie is right. My life is scary. The faint-hearted should not look!
