Opera Browser

I am a fan of the Opera web browser. So much so, that I "flame" the other browsers. I can give a multitude of reasons why I prefer Opera, but instead, I will post links to a security site called Secunia. Secunia is in the business of finding and reporting security issues in software. Below is Secunia's report on Opera:
Vendor: Opera Software
Affected By 3 Secunia advisories
Unpatched 0% (0 of 3 Secunia advisories)
Most Critical Unpatched : There are no unpatched Secunia advisories affecting this product, when all vendor patches are applied.
Here's the link if you want to see it for yourself: http://secunia.com/product/10615/
Now, compare that to their report on IE 7:
Vendor: Microsoft
Affected By 4 Secunia advisories
Unpatched 75% (3 of 4 Secunia advisories)
Most Critical Unpatched: The most severe unpatched Secunia advisory affecting Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.x, with all vendor patches applied, is rated Moderately critical .
Here's the link if you want to see it for yourself: http://secunia.com/product/12366/?task=advisories
I do need to say that IE 7 is more secure than IE 6, so if you are still using IE 6, you may want to consider upgrading. But, what you should do if you are concerned at all about web security is get Opera. You can find it at: http://www.opera.com/download/
If you would like a little more information on Opera before you download, please go to the following link to see what Opera has to offer: http://www.opera.com/products/desktop/
