Hello everyone. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I am feeling quite tired out by all that is going on at work. This evening an agreement was signed by the Board of Directors and Lone Wa Baptist Church. They will take over the operation of Youth House on Friday, August 17th at 5:00 p.m. Sometime between now and then, they are going to interview all employees and determine who they will keep and who they will let go. As mentioned before, I feel that my job is safe.
However, I have been sending out applications and resumes, and tomorrow I have an interview at CenturyTel. A friend from the theatre was kind enough to help me get that set up. So wish me luck and pray that God's will be done. I believe that if I am offered a position, I will likely accept it. Unless they offer me substantially less than I am making now. My number one reason is because of retirement. As things stand for me now, when I reach retirement age, I'll only have social security, and how secure is that?
As far as the rest of my life, it is fine. Jeanine and Jeff bought a PT cruiser. Their Blazer had been giving them a lot of trouble, so they traded. It is a 2004 I believe. Whoever had it before kept it nice. Let's see, Matthew is flying out to El Paso on Thursday. He is going to spend a couple of weeks there. Please pray that he has a safe flight. He is actually flying out of DFW. I was supposed to drive him there, but because of the work thingy, I was unable to take off. I believe he has a police buddy that is going to drive him. It is sooo much cheaper to fly out of Dallas than to fly out of Monroe, even considering the price of gasoline.
Hope everyone is doing well. Lynn, I am glad you had a good time in Ruidoso. I particulary liked the "leaning loo" picture. Love to all.
