This morning I spent 4+ hours putting labels on a mailout for Reality Bites Back. In so doing, I came across several hyphenated last names like Allen-Bell. Because this particular job didn't require any thought, I started thinking. Thinking about hyphenated names. My first thought was, Why? Personally, I think it rather strange. Then I got to thinking about what names would cause one to decide not to use a hypenated name. Here are some of the ones I made up:
Nichols-Quarters
Chandler-Lear
Wold-War
Mosley-Pleasant
All-LaBorde
Cummings-Goins
Coffey-Perkins
Goode-Nabors
Maxwell-Smart
And my personal favorite:
Worley-Byrd
Have a great day.

The other day I was interviewing a client at our church program to help people in need and the girls name was Sunny Sky (then last name). Not hyphenated, but all the same a little strange?? What were her parents thinking?
You are too funny!
Here's my favorite: Phill-McCracken
Plus, I had a friend that worked with a guy that always used his middle initial on his business cards. But the guy never caught on to why people laughed when his customers would call and ask for him. His first name and middle initial...Jack S.
