Plain Brown Paper

Nothing out of the ordinary happened yesterday. Most days are wrapped in plain brown paper, no bows, ribbbons, or glitter. That's OK. I like brown paper days. Did you ever make book covers out of brown paper bags? When I was a youngster, that's what we did. Those brown paper covers were strong and durable. And you could decorate them how you wanted. Maybe that's how our days are supposed to be, plain brown wrappers that we decorate how we want, or how we like. Since I was given a brown paper day, I decorated it. I started my decorating by going to church. It was good. Then when I got home, my day was further decorated by family and friends. Steve came bearing doughnuts from Shipley's, yum. Then I got to visit with my grandkids for a couple of hours. That was fun, as all grandmother's believe their grandkids are the best. We made pancakes, and I still have remnants of syrup on the table. I'll get it clean, but that's for later.

Enjoy your brown paper days. Decorate them how you like.

That's a novel idea...decorate the day however you like.

Nice blog!

I need to decorate my body with a Cathy hug. It's been far too long.
