Attack Cat

My cat Simon has been behaving badly. So badly in fact, that I am considering taking him to the shelter. His latest mission is the t.v. He will sit and watch it and then without warning, jump up and start scratching at the screen. Now if I had a CRT or tube t.v. I don't suppose I would care all that much. But I am talking LCD. I have tried several ways to get him to stop. One of the best ways to stop bad behavior is to spray the cat with water. Well, I am not about to spray water at the cat while it is in front of the t.v. because water may get inside the t.v. and then that would be that. I have gone over and just casually removed him from the t.v., and yes I have even given him a "tap" or two.

I can't allow this behavior to continue, but I obviously don't know how to stop it. So it looks like I will be making a visit to the humane society.

That sounds like a tough situation. I'd keep the TV and get rid of the cat, if it was me.

please, please look into SSScat cans before taking the cat to the shelter (if you really want to keep the cat). It is a motion sensor that sends a blast of air at the cat when triggered. Put it in front of the TV.

You may have to get use to it being there for a while, but it could save your tv, cat and sanity....

They're a little pricier than, say, a bottle of water, but I've heard it work wonders...

Good luck!
