Laundry

So how often are you supposed to clean under and behind your washer and dryer? They are hard to move, and the dryer vent always comes off. I don't do it very often. But as I was washing clothes this morning, I took a good look at the area in and around my washer and dryer and decided it must be time.

I don't want to do it! Who sees my laundry room anyway? Besides that, it is almost a two person job and who should I invite over to help me? Say, you want to come over for some chips and salsa? As long as you're here, help me move my washer and dryer so I can clean up? After we get them away from the wall, you could help me climb over and get behind them. Then, when I'm stuck behind them, would you be so kind as to go in the kitchen and get the broom and dustpan? Hey look, here's some socks, dryer sheets, and 52 cents! Darn it, could you go get me a screwdriver so I can reattach the dryer vent? My toolbox is out in my truck. Wait, the keys to my truck are in my purse which is in my bedrooom. Darn this dryer vent, who invented these things anyway? I can't seem to get it back on. You want to try? Here, help me over the washer and dryer and then I'll help you crawl over them and you can give it a try. What, we need to move them more? This laundry room is rather small, only 5 feet by 6 feet and if we move them more, then I won't be able to get out of the room. Nevermind, I'll keep trying to get this vent attached. WoooHooo, I finally got it. Help me back over, and let's move these suckers back in place. Mission accomplished.

The chips are in the cupboard and the salsa is in the fridge. I'll be there in a minute, I want to go ahead and start a load of laundry. WHAT is that noise? Sounds like a plane trying to land in my house, wait, it's not a bird, a plane or Superman, it's the washing machine spinning out of balance! I am going to have to move it exactly where it was before or get underneath and turn the "feet" to make it balanced. Wait, where are you going? You haven't even finished your chips and salsa! Hey! Come back.

No, I don't think I will be cleaning behind my washer and dryer anytime soon, unless I desperately need the 52 cents!

THAT...was funny!!!

But what you don't know is this...if I come over to help and you get stuck behind the dryer, I'm going to eat the chips and salsa first. Plus, I'm gonna raid the refrigerator for a frosty cold one to wash down said salsa-inundated chips...BEFORE I extricate you from behind the dryer. By doing so, I will have more salsa and chips to myself. Always looking out for Number 1.

Love your humor. Unfortunately, when we got our new washer, I had not moved mine since when? and was so embarrassed and had to ask the guys to wait to put the new one till I had time to sweep and mop. But I found no money. Rats! Have a great weekend.
