MEMORIAL DAY

Each year in the U.S. of A.
We have a Memorial Day;
Remembrance for all
Who answered the call
By placing their lives in harm's way.
This day should not pass with regret,
We owe an unpayable debt
To all the bravehearted,
Those valiant departed,
Whose sacrifice we'll not forget.
For freedom their lives served as shields,
Advancing in war's ravaged wealds
'Gainst tyranny's fist
They made the resist,
Triumphant on battle-torn fields.
In skies, upon seas or on land,
Whatever the point of command,
They stormed ev'ry hell
Where heroes' blood fell
'Til God gave them rest by his hand.
In shadows of Old Glory's wave
We cherish the mem'ries we save
Of those who stand tall
In Patriots' Hall --
By Freedom salute we The Brave!

Hey Cathy,
Thanks for sending your blog address. I find them an interesting way to keep up with what is going on in lives. I read several from young moms at church just to stay in touch with what life is like for them these days.
Hope you had a restful Memorial Day. The rain made it where we just stayed inside and relaxed. Watching some war movies to help us remember how thankful we are for those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedoms.

Hi Cathy,

Mother sent me your blog address, I don't have one. We stayed home ourselves even though it was beautiful, Mel had to work all 3 days (pulled call). We are all fine, I was going to get to babysit Talon this evening while they went to the CO. Rockies game, but the wheather turned yucky and we are under a tornado watch until 8 so Danette didn't want to go sit in the rain! Love to all, Caren
